Founded in 1976, the Brandywine School of Early Learning has solidified a reputation as the premier academic preschool in Chester County. Together, the staff of certified teachers, experienced assistants, and highly qualified administration, work diligently to provide a positive and nurturing environment that enables young children to transition successfully from home to school.
Brandywine School is incorporated as an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization that operates a nine-month, non-denominational early childhood program. The core classes begin with Toddler Time, in a parent-and-me format, and grow with the child as they gain greater independence, from Playgroup to Pre-Kindergarten. The academically-based program is augmented with weekly Art, Music and Movement, Science and Nature, and Library classes. Extended Day and Enrichment classes are offered to further expand the learning and discovery opportunities for Brandywine School students.
Brandywine School’s commitment to early education is rooted in a simple goal – to give young children the gift of a first school experience that instills a lifelong love of learning and the confidence to reach their true potential. The curriculum at each level is carefully planned to stimulate and support the spiritual, social/emotional, physical, cognitive and moral growth of the individual child through meaningful academic experiences. Brandywine School’s staff strives to create a comfortable and secure environment for each and every child, regardless of religion, race, creed, ethnicity, or national origin.
